I would also strongly encourage you to subscribe to Joel's email list HERE so that you can remain current on the spiritual and political happenings of the Middle East. The Bible clearly tells us that in the last days, all eyes will be on Israel. This tiny little country that the world has always hated is the very place that God is going to complete his work on this earth, that Jesus is going to return to at the end of the tribulation, and the place from which He will rule for the 1000 years. The people of Israel always have been, and always will be, God's chosen people, and we are commanded to bless them. The Lord says that He will bless those who bless Israel. And besides the fact that this is a command from God, we should be hanging on the edge of our seats in anticipation of finally seeing the prophecies of Ezekiel, Daniel, Isaiah, Revelation, and many other passages, coming to life. We have already seen the fulfillment of large portions of end times prophecy in very recent years, and the rest is practically bursting through the seams. The Lord likens the troubles of the world during the end times to the intensifying contractions of a woman in labor. They grow stronger and stronger, and closer and closer together. At the rate things are going, I would be very surprised if my children even reach adulthood. This is a very exciting time to be alive for believers and a tremendously frightening time for those who do not know Jesus.
If you are not 100% certain that you are saved, that if you died today or if Christ returned for his church, that you would be in heaven, I cannot urge you strongly enough to make certain of it now. Please surrender your life to Christ before it is too late. We never know how much time we have left. Any one of us could get in a car accident today and die. In that moment, you will either be immediately with Christ, or forever apart from him. There are no second chances. And for those who say that they'll wait and see if this whole "rapture" thing really happens, that when all the Christians disappear from the earth, then they will believe, I cannot even begin to describe to you the horrors that will take place during those next seven years as described in Revelation. While you will have an opportunity still to come to Christ, and be saved from hell, you will be forced to endure the most horrific seven years any human being could ever fathom, a fate I weep to think any loved one or even any enemy of mine might possibly endure. The Lord wishes none should perish, and He promises an escape from the destruction to come. All you have to do is CALL ON THE NAME OF CHRIST. I beg with each of you who are reading this to seek out TRUE teaching and guidance on how to know that you are saved. I emphasize "true" because the earth is full of false prophets who claim to know the way to God, but are sadly leading people away from Him. There is only ONE way to God, and that is through Jesus Christ, his son.
There are many many wonderful, trustworthy pastors, churches, and websites out there, so I recommend the following, not because it is the "right" one, but because it is one that I KNOW to be trustworthy, one that stands firmly on the word of God, the only thing we should ever turn to for any truth or wisdom: Please take a look at THIS WEBSITE. If you have further questions, please either leave a comment on this post or contact me directly at tarrah.ritchie@gmail.com. I would be happy to talk to you about what it means to have a relationship with Jesus Christ, either through email or over the phone if you are a woman. Men, my husband will happily follow up with any of you! Or we would both be thrilled to work together with any couples who are seeking guidance in this area.
If you are already certain of your faith, then please take your marching orders from the Lord seriously and make sure that there is not a single person in YOUR life left untold. We are commanded to go and make disciples. If they reject the message, it is not you they reject, but God. We are commanded to share the gospel, but God has to do the work in their heart. Don't be afraid. Be bold and be faithful!
"Look, I am coming soon! Blessed are those who obey the prophecy written in this scroll... He who is the faithful witness to all these things says, 'Yes, I am coming soon!' Amen! Come, Lord Jesus!" Revelation 22:7, 20 New Living Translation
